Absheron Early Production Scheme (EPS) is an early development phase to target a first gas production mid-2022.
The Full Field Development studies have started based on the promising results of EPS well ABD001.
JOCAP Joint Operating Company of Absheron Petroleum is a new Company created in March 2018, which is the Operator of Absheron from August 2018.
Absheron development reference agreements are PSA, JOA and addendums.
EPS Project technical data:
152Mscf/d of gas, 12kbbl/d of condensate; production from 1 subsea well, 34km multiphase flowline, dedicated new platform installed at Oil Rocks field (operated by SOCAR); WHSIP = 555bar, WHFP = 380bar.


The job holder main responsibilities are to assist the Operations Director in achieving those key project activities:
 Manages and coordinates all technical / operational activities in Production, Maintenance, works, safety, logistics and
 security.
 Ensures that the production target established by the Company is achieved and maintained.
 Ensures the availability of plant at all times through regular maintenance and well production follow-up to achieve optimum
 production.
 Responsible for the safety and security of all personnel working on the site. Ensures the integrity of asset by establishing and maintaining routine safety tests, statutory inspections, safety drills and trainings in accordance with company and statutory regulations. In case of medical emergency, initiates MEDEVAC.
 Manages relations and interfaces with AZNEFT on site.
 Manages the logistics means at the disposal of the site, controls movements in and out of the EPS platform operational area.
 Verify the status of all inhibitions at each shift and crew change.
 Prepare periodic or specific reporting of the activities under its responsibility.
 Highlight miss-function, compile all relevant documentation, participate to the establishment of a diagnosis and enforce agreed corrective actions.
 Identify the solutions for optimization in terms of HSE, organization and operability.
 Evaluate the personnel working in his/her team and make proposal for their training plan.
 Ensure the perpetuation of all the processes resulting from
 Organize On The Job Training in liaison with the HR division.


 Comply with the Activities described within the HSE Management System
 Identify the downgraded situations and put in place the compensatory measures.
 Set up, apply and enforce the rules of the site.
 Validate Permit to work (PTW) and ensure proper close out of PTW
 Participate to the HAZID, HAZOP and Cause Tree Analysis. Participate to the PTW audits. Participate to the weekly safety meeting.
 Make sure of the update and initiate the changes deemed necessary of the Site Response Plan.
 Conduct the weekly exercises performed as part of the Site Response Plan
 Ensure the application of the Environmental Management System (EMS).
 Report any anomaly, abnormal conditions and near miss to the Operations Director.


New EPS platform adjacent and connected to existing facilities, operated with dedicated philosophies for safety, maintenance,
inspections, integrity.
Management on site in different languages (Azerbaijani and English).


 Level / Diploma: Master degree in Engineering.
 Professional Experience: more than 10 years of experience in Operations of Oil & gas facilities including 5 years in management positions on offshore sites.
 In-depth knowledge of Management of HSE on Site and Management of Offshore facilities
