Driller Trainee Program

Our Driller Trainee Program is a rare opportunity to gain a fast track international career in the offshore industry. The aim of the program is to train future leaders for our drilling unit in Azerbaijan.

We plan to run a driller trainee programme in the beginning of March, with 2-4 trainees. The programme takes 24 months to complete. During this period, trainees receive theoretical training at our Maersk Training facilities as well as practical training on our offshore drilling unit in Azerbaijan.
You will work your way up from performing hands-on chores as a roustabout. If you have lived up to our high expectations by the end of the programme, you will take up an assistant driller's role on our drilling unit, where you will continue your training and career. In other words, the driller trainee programme will provide you with the necessary tools to advance quickly up the career ladder.

Programme requirements
To be considered for a place on the programme, you preferably hold a BEng/BSc in Marine, Mechanical or Civil Engineering. The programme is mainly aimed at recent graduates or those with 1-2 years' experience. Proficiency in English is a prerequisite.
