Position: Media and Communications Manager

Reports to: CEO

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Communications manager, is responsible for developing and implementing Communications Strategy and Plan in support of the Agency’s strategic priorities. In so doing, the manager promotes the brand, its vision and mission and protects the Agency’s reputation.

Reporting to the CEO, the candidate will primarily be responsible for external and internal strategy and execution – aimed at promoting the brand and enhancing its reputation – in the areas of Corporate Communications; Internal Communications; and, Branding and Corporate Identity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Communications

Define and implement corporate communication strategies in line with company’s strategic priorities in order to promote the brand and enhance the corporate reputation, inspire enthusiasm about the Agency’s mission, and promote company’s achievements;

Work in close collaboration with the Education Department to ensure strategic alignment.

Handling all aspects of planned publicity campaigns and PR activities:

• planning publicity strategies and campaigns
• producing presentations and press releases
• dealing with enquiries from the public, the press, and related organisations
• organising and attending promotional events
• analysing media coverage
• social media planning, scheduling, monitoring, and analytics.

• Media Relations

Branding and Corporate Identity

Perform periodic analysis of the brand and how it is performing;
Create a brand implementation plan to ensure all areas of company align with the brand.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

- Experience in corporate communications with experience in planning and execution, branding, issues management and internal communications.
- Education, preferably in journalism, communications or public relations.
- Interest in the field of anti-doping and sport in general.
- Excellent relationship-building skills.
- Collaborative, team oriented-style.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent oral and written skills in Azerbaijan language. English would be an asset
