Main Purpose of role:

To deliver a high quality, effective, efficient and profitable on time internal sales and hires service to all clients; to maintain and produce all required sales/delivery/hire documentation; to provide effective customer relations and service to existing clients and to build the same with new clients to the company.

Main Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:

 Administer and liaise with the client to ensure that all customer needs are met and maximise sales/hires opportunities where possible
 Ensure the correct equipment and materials are readied for the work scope and that it complies with client, client contract and statutory requirement.
 Ensure customer enquiries and orders are dealt with promptly, accurately and all transactions recorded and traceable in the approved company systems.
 Maintain and manage all the required paperwork and Job Packs for audit purposes.
 Upkeep of records as needed and required to ensure compliance with statutory and contractual obligations and to facilitate accurate and timely customer invoicing.
 Update the InspHire system with supplier PO delivery dates & keep client informed regarding any issues with supplier delivery
 Optimise the use of company stock and maintain accurate and precise stock control
 Participate in continuous improvement process, the identification of non-conformances and implementation of corrective action and quality audits as requested
 Ensure all activities comply with the company and client operating policies and procedures.
 Identifying cross-hired equipment on new jobs for tracking purposes
 Identifying and off hiring cross-hired equipment to the supplier
 Accurately maintain supplier POs for cross-hired equipment
 Off-hiring of equipment from goods inwards manifests
 Liaising with stores personnel and clients about returns e.g. discrepancies between client manifests and our goods inwards manifests
 Assisting with the preparation of end of month invoicing to ensure accuracy
 Maintain hire equipment files and folders
 Preparation/issue of client weekly, monthly hire reports
 Preparation of Ad Hoc spreadsheets from hire data as and when required
 Assisting the accounts department on any invoice queries
 The job holder may be required to carry out any other related or associated roles, tasks or duties which they can be trained, instructed and supervised to do safely and according to changing business requirements.

• Some Technical knowledge and experience of the lifting industries and products would be preferred together with a detailed knowledge of the Offshore oil and gas industry and how it operates, eg vessel movements and logistics
• Educated to National Certificate, SVQ Level III or similar in a technical or sales related subject would be preferred.


Experience within a similar service company and internal sales environment would be preferred
Experience of, and ability to deliver, great customer service
