QED International is pleased to announce a vacancy for the position of HVAC Draughtsman.

Roles & Responsibilities:

·         Preparation of HVAC fabrication engineering draughting deliverables.

·         Preparation of HVAC ductwork material take offs

·         To assist the Drawing Office Coordinator in the control of all aspects of the Baku based HVAC fabrication engineering workscope in accordance with the Contract documents and project procedures.

·         To review client & Vendor design deliverables & produce HVAC fabrication drawings.

·         To liaise with the Drawing Office Coordinator and assist in developing the fabrication engineering plan in line with the Contract Master Schedule.

·         Ensure that all engineering deliverables are issued in accordance with the Contract Master Schedule.

·         To understand the scope of work and ensure that Contractor supplied material is requisitioned in a timely manner to enable procurement in accordance with the Contract Master Schedule.

·         To prepare material take offs to ensure correct materials are procured in a timely manner.

·         Prepare fabrication shop drawings and supplementary technical documentation; ensure documents contain sufficient detailed information to allow fabrication to take place.

·         To communicate, record and issue design changes to the project team in a timely manner and in accordance with the project procedures.

·         Have a good understanding of the Department checking and approval procedures.

·         Ensure that engineering documents are officially distributed via transmittal to the required locations.

·         Prepare site sketches from fabrication areas / modules

·         Assist construction department (if required) during testing / punch out activities.

Requirements:

An experienced draughtsman in related project work with demonstrated capabilities having successfully undertaken work on HVAC Fabrication contracts.
