Job description: AZERMS is involved in EDTP project financed by an international oil company. The primary and immediate purpose of EDTP is to increase the localization of the client company’s supplier network in Azerbaijan and thereby contribute to healthy and transparent development of the local economy. Currently AZERMS invites applicants for Local Energy Efficiency Expert position who will be directly involved in EDTP project. The project documents are in evaluation process by donor organization, so subject to approval, above posted expert will be hired in this domain.

Job responsibilities:

• To identify and work with clients to develop projects that will improve energy efficiency, reduce total costs, and potentially improve sales
• Work with Ad-Hoc consultants so that they learn the critical technical skills and knowledge required to be the local energy efficiency expert
• Work with AD-Hoc consultant to develop key tools required for the work
o Energy Audits/Assessments
o Energy calculators
o Budget and investment models
o To adapt best practices to meet Azerbaijani company needs
• To become the technical resource for the EDTP in key sub-sectors
• To be the technical expert on energy efficiency technologies applicable to Azerbaijani industry and environment
• Provide assistance to other members of the EDTP team as needed
• To prepare and give presentations on energy efficiency and other subjects as required
• To work with the staff to prepare case relevant case studies
• To liaison with other organizations such as IFC and EBRD to understand these other programs and how the programs can be synergistic
• To write reports as requested
• To participate in required AZERMS LLC meetings
• To follow AZERMS LLC Code of Conduct
• To follow the AZERMS LLC quality, health, safety, security and environmental policy, systems and processes
• To perform other duties as requested by the AZERMS LLC General Manager

Required qualifications & skills:

• Must have initiative
• Must be willing to learn and operate in a high paced environment
• Must speak English and Azeri
• Russian fluency is preferred
• Must have a higher education in technical engineering  area  (for example mechanical, electrical or civil)
• Preferred that they have some industrial experience in operations as an engineer
• Preferred if they have had some training in energy efficiency
• Proficient with computer applications (Word®, Excel®, and Power Point®)`
• Preferred that they have a basic understanding of budgeting and investment calculations
• Must have good communication skills (written and verbal)
• Must be comfortable working on the operations level as well as with management
