The Company is working with an oil and gas, commodities and derivatives trading business in the world. With an aim to strengthen their team within finance related activities, our client (internationally recognized as a leader in many different business within the oil and chemical product trading, its headquarter is in Europe and it has a global market, with a widespread sales-force and a marketing organization) is looking to hire a Finance director. He/she will report to the Chief Financial Officer.

The Finance Director will have overall control and responsibility for all financial aspects of the company strategy and be able to analyze figures and implement recommendations to ensure the most profitable outcomes. This person will be an integral part of the Senior Management team who is hands on with the company finances, and can advise on the best path of growth for the business.
 
Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities:

Objectives:

• Work with the senior teams to grow the business by formulating strategies and plans
• Prepare and evaluate business and plans
• Oversee all day-to-day accounting functions
• Lead, supervise and develop the finance team
• Lead and manage the budgeting and forecasting process
• Formulate annual budgets and targets
• Prepare and present all required financial statements and reports on a periodic basis
• Manage all internal and external financial audits, tax audits or compliance audits
• Maintain and manage written accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
• Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
 
Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Hire, counsel, train and develop Finance functional staff
• Lead, mentor and supervise Finance team
• Help develop accounting policies and process improvement initiatives
• Management and team-building  
 
Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance with professional designation (CA, CGA, CMA, CPA).
At least 7 years of experience in a Senior Accounting or Corporate Finance leadership role.
Operational experience within oil and gas industry is highly preferred.
 
Language Skills:

Fluency in English and Russian.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
 
Mathematical:

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
 
Reasoning Ability:

Candidate must have experience in defining and making business and finance decisions and have demonstrated success in achieving superior financial outcomes.
 
Computer Skills:

The incumbent should have advanced knowledge of the following software: Excel, Access and PowerPoint, Syteline, BI Cube.
 
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

ICAS, ACCA, CIMA with at least three years post qualifying experience.
 
Travel Requirements:

Ability to travel.
