Sales Engineer
Business Need / Purpose of role:
Responsible for sales and tendering Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities: (results this role is expected to accomplish)
Searching for new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximizing customer potential in designated regions; Traveling to visit potential clients; Developing and growing long-term relationships with customers; Managing and interpreting customer requirements - speaking with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs; Persuading clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery; Calculating client quotations; Negotiating tender and contract terms to meet both client and company needs; Negotiating and closing sales by agreeing terms and conditions; Analyzing costs and sales; Meeting regular sales targets; Recording and maintaining client contact data; Coordinating sales projects; Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs; Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts; Solving client problems; Providing training and producing support material for other members of the sales team. Objectives & Measurement:
Liaises with client’s end-users and management team.
Person Specification – Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications / Personal Attributes
• Must be literate and numeric with a good to excellent grade in English and Mathematics • Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office package • Good administrative skills • Good verbal and writing communication skills • Candidate must be able to follow instructions. • To be able to work on own initiative; be methodical in their approach to work • Candidate must have good administration and communication skills, Should be able to work closely with fellow employees as a team player
