Vision Fund AzerCredit LLC is seeking an ACCOUNTANT ASSISTANT for its SABIRABAD SUB BRANCH
Vision Fund AzerCredit LLC helps develop the economy of Azerbaijan by providing credit to small entrepreneurs so that they can grow their businesses and improve their economic situation. AzerCredit is one of the largest micro-credit organizations in Azerbaijan. Moreover, staff members usually become the main taskforce, which brings innovation, as frequent focus groups with staff are conducted to brainstorm and gather their thoughts and ideas. AzerCredit is currently seeking an ACCOUNTANT ASSISTANT for its SABIRABAD SUB BRANCH.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• To receive and process all invoices, expense forms and requests for payment; • To verify calculations and input codes in to the accounts system in an accurate manner; • To deal with daily transactions for the petty cash and ensure that reconciliations are completed on a weekly basis; • To ensure all filing is done in a timely and accurate manner; • To prepare cheques for payment; • To ensure that all post is sent daily; • To maintain and update files for payment documents, invoices, purchase orders, requisitions, accounts payable and receivable, and correspondence; • To gather and collate records as requested to compile information; • To locate files or reports as requested by supervisor or others; processes, photocopies, and files documents and records as required for record keeping; • To purge files and records according to established procedures; • To maintain and update records of fiscal transactions manually or on the computer; • To post payments and refunds received to appropriate account or cost center; • To complete forms and logs to create records of such transactions as receipts, and mileage; • To prepare journal entries for approval by supervisor; • To release encumbrances for purchase order, ensuring funds available for expenditure; • To check and verify such documents as requisitions, invoices, and purchase orders, and contacts vendors to correct errors; • To route payment documents for approval and processing by Auditor for payment; • To check documents for accuracy of name, amounts, and date;
Candidates should meet the following requirements:
• Education: Accounting degree or diploma in accounting/finance; economics • Experience: At least one year work experience in a related field, preferably in an international MFI; • Knowledge of applicable legislation, internal standard acts, policies and procedures on accounting; • Fluent in Azeri (preference may be given to English speaking candidates); • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word) and knowledge of accounting systems; • Capability and willingness to take responsibility and highly developed sense of rectitude; • Ready to comply and live up to and in accordance with the organization ideals; • Good knowledge in economic and financial topics; • Good analytical and problem solving skills;
The position is full time and will be based in SABIRABAD SUB BRANCH of Vision Fund AzerCredit LLC.
