IT Monitoring Operator JD

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree (technical)
• At least 3 years experience in IT sphere ;
• Basic knowledge with Unix based operating systems (Free BSD, Linux, Solaris);
• Knowledge in database systems is preferable (Oracle and SQL);
• Basic experience with computer hardware systems (PC, Servers, Storages, Routers, Switches, etc.);
• Excellent skills with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word);
• Good knowledge in network monitoring tools and trouble ticketing systems;
• Experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows XP/2003 Server operating systems and various softwares;
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking, IP addressing and protocols (DNS, SMTP, HTTP/HTTPS, etc.);
• Ability to work on duty schedule in support of IT operations;
• Management skills;
• English (technical level and excellent writing skills are must), Azeri (fluent) and Russian (good);
• Military service

Roles  & Responsibilities:

• Carries out duties according to IT policy and procedures;
• Performs daily health check of critical network elements and database systems;
• Performs periodical monitoring/observing of critical elements via monitoring systems for system status, performance, availability;
• Timely reacts on alarms and follows on necessary procedures depending on severity level of alarm;
• Provides detailed report on critical issues/incidents;
• Prepares monthly report on incidents/critical issues including response and resolution time;
• Bears material responsibility for the equipment in IT operation and warehouse;
• Ensures Information Security;
• Performs strengthened monitoring over critical systems during planned/emergency works;
• Ensures timely escalation of issues to engineering staff;
• Controls 3rd party company works during planned/emergency works;
• Ensures 24/7 on call support for mission critical systems of the IT Infrastructure;
