Electronics Specialist
Major responsibilities include but not limited to: - Responsible for proper recording of temporary and preliminary modifications; - Responsible to be familiar with sections and/or procedures that are applicable for the function, as laid down in the vessel manuals; - Proficient and knowledgeable in the maintenance and repair of all electronic and electric equipment including specific installations on the vessel, marine type crane and anchor winches; - Accurately maintain logbooks, planned maintenance system and spare part control; - Carry out repairs and maintenance to the electronic installation of the vessel, with particular regard to the main crane and anchor winches, all under the direction of the Chief Engineer; - Keep and maintain current vendors’ catalogue library of all equipment in area of responsibility. He is to liaise with contractors and control the job they carry out; - Ensure through uniform stock & quantity control, that adequate inventory and level of spares is maintained at all times in area of responsibility; - Taking part in emergency and occupational onboard training such as, the use of self contained breathing apparatus, fire fighting, man overboard exercises, lifeboat launching, security drills and/or other training as applicable for the function;
Required qualifications & experience: - Education background in electronics; - Experience as Electronics Engineer on marine units/derrick vessels/barges; - English language level – very good;
Employment Period: 6(six) months; Status: Urgent!
